Picture Kaleidoscope 3/9/16

Morning!

A Yosemite Night by Alan W. at Earthshots.org. Brighter than you'd expect, no? Lots of lovely nature pics at his Flicker site.
Ice Age by Wilson Ng at Eathshots.org. More cool stuff at his site as well. Nice!

These Mesmerizing Photos Show Tall Buildings Framing the Sky by Michael Zhang from Petapixel. Photography by Andy Yeung. (Looks like they've locked the image urls so I can only point you over there, not give a sneak peek. But these are fun! So well worth going to look!)

Picture Kaleidoscope 7/8/15

No Monday post...
Had computer drive issues over the weekend. :(
Got a new drive with RAID but now have to baby the other to get the files on it off and hope it doesn't go totally belly up before I do. Eek!

Anyway, some pics!

The canals at Las Colinas.

Some lovely European style buildings there.

The sky is ever changing

I'm always trying for that sun through the trees look. lol.

Some beautiful and colorful flowers. Saw these a lot as a kid

This one looks like I've done something to it, doesn't it? But I didn't. Came out weird all on its own. Heh heh

The sushi chef at Wasabi and Wok went all out this day. It was so adorable!!!

Weird lamp - but the layered things looked interesting.

It allowed for a weird photo like this one. :)

 Have an awesome day!

Picture Kaleidoscope 5/27/15

Another Wednesday!
Hope everyone is keeping dry. The flooding in Texas is getting quite scary.

We have seen tons of this lately. :P

Life sized Minions! Woot! (Didn't realize till later the can was someone's addition. DOH)

A ton of striations in the clouds this day.

Almost looks like a nuclear explosion! o.O

The bottom part is the unusual piece.

First mostly clear sky in a long while

And more weather coming our way.

A swatch of color.

A little better view

I've been by this building off an on. Realized that from this angle, it looks like an eagle! (With a short beak) See the wings?

Stay dry, stay safe!

Picture Kaleidoscope 9/11/13 - WorldCon Pt 2

WorldCon (LoneStarCon 3) pt 2!
Camera pics

Really did have a lovely view from the hotel room.

Lots of interesting architecture.

And of course, a lovely view of the river walk.

This is one of my favorite pics.

No idea what this building is. But I loved the green.

Some old world style stuff. Not what you'd expect to find this far south in Texas. :P

Weird but super cool looking lamp at the hotel!

Now this is more like Texas. heh heh

I braved the river walk the first day. Never had time later!

I wanted a pic of this bridge, but people just kept coming and coming and coming!

Goth! They have Goth stuff in San Antonio! o.O Later found out it is a German built church. They brought a little of home with them. :)

Just like the ones in Puerto Rico! They even had the yellow daisy like ones. (Never did get a pic though...)

Like I said, interesting architecture all over the place.

Each section of the river walk was made unique in some way. Kind of cool!

My attempt to get a pic of the ducks?

Different outside pics of the Convention Center.

They had some cool exhibits inside LoneStarCon 3.

From Heinlein's Have Spacesuit Will Travel. Hee!

Game of Thrones Throne - a very popular spot once the doors opened. heh heh

Never made it back to really look at it more. But seemingly this chaos generator engine was added onto by convention peeps during the weekend. Neat stuff!

Have a great day!
