Thanksgiving Eve!
Having dreams of the food yet? Heh heh.

Won't torment you with my stuff this week so you'll have at least one thing to be thankful for. :P

Village Chief by David Lazar at Earthshots.org
Love the colors and composition, but utterly love his expression. :)
David's site is pretty cool. He's got photographs from all over.

The Matron by Alex Chamberlain at Earthshots.org.
There's something incredibly relaxing about this shot.

Looks like Alex is part of Blue Desert Digital. They do 3D visualization as well as Multimedia Production. Pretty cool!

I thought the promo pic for the time lapsed video associated with this work pretty cool! If you have time, go check out the video. From PetaPixel - Hyperlapse Captures Four Graffiti Artists Covering An Entire Warehouse.

These are just too cool! They have a bunch more at Un Petit Monde

May you have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Picture Kaleidoscope 7/3/13

Greetings! I'm LATE! This will probably be the lamest PK ever!

Between spending an awesome weekend at SoonerCon, suddenly working 10 to 12 hour days at work, and trying to help one of my publishers set up for a sale over the holiday, I've found my time for other things a little scarce! (Trying to sneak this in before the boss gets here and we go off on another possibly long day! Oi!)

Golden Waterfall by Daniel Kordan at Earthshots.org Yes, a calming influence, calming, calming....
Huh, his website url didn't work :(

Oneonta Narrows by Michael Flaherty - How awesome! This would be a perfect for a fantasy!
His site has other awesome photographs! Looks like he's traveled a lot. :)

It's Burning by Matthieu Parmentier - Yes! More sky burning! Gorgeous!

Okay gotta run! Have an awesome 4th of July!

EarthShots.org had a bunch of awesome shots this week. This is Red Pyramid by Mirko Vecernik

Soylent Green anyone? Picture Desk Live - photo by Abir Abdullah.

Till next time!

Picture Kaleidoscope 5/25/11

Not too many of my own this week (Saturday's running around was curtailed) but did run across several good ones on the net!

For intance this fab picture from 19SIXTY3 called Sunrise Over Angkor Wat.  Gorgeous colors!

This was a cool little pic. Unitede Cloud States of America! You can clearly make out the Caribbean Sea and California and more. (Just go wit it! lol)

Galaxy_Dallas shared a pic for a (wait for it) Star Trek motorcycle. (If it turns up missing, he took it!) Heh heh.

Cool underwater sculpture photo by Jason deCaires Taylor.

This photo of the day over at the National Geographic site almost looks like a painting - Sea Grass.

On Earth As It Is In Heaven - totally gorgeous pic by Richard Bernabe. Look at the sky colors and those breathtaking waterfalls.  Mmmmmm.

I'll leave you with this one.  Pretty sunrise with encroaching storm!

Picture Kaleidoscope 5/18/11

Got several good ones this past week despite the allergies being on a warpath. :P

Signs of gathering possible rainfall. We'd had none for so long!  And even with the threatening weather it almost didn't happen!

My second photosynth photo. Tried to make it more square than the first one, but not sure it made it. Really should try to read some instructions on this. Still, you can see the weather moving into the area. :)

The sun was doing a weird looking effect with the clouds so I had to take a pic.

Different angle.

Cool lamp we found at Taco Cabana in Addison. Should have done a close up of the star lamps hanging inside. :P

Serenity is growing, and growing, and growing. She totally adores the stuffed animals John's given me over the years for Valentine's Day. It's totally amusing.

Ah! This beauty - The United Cloud States of America.  Looks like the North American Continent! Hee!

Have an awesome rest of the week!

Picture Kaleidoscope 3/16/11

Even though I was totally out of commission for most of last week, I did manage to get a few pictures before I succumbed to the evil cold.  (This is also the first time I'm doing this type of blog post from the new fandangled multi loader so should be exciting how much I have to fix before you all see it! Hah!)

The flowers from the red tree in the back yard last but maybe a week. Got lucky and actually got a couple of shots of them this year.

Hubby helped out a friend in clearing out a shed from an older lady who was about to go into an assited living facility. It seems they were big proponents back in the day of having extra food and stuff in case of the apocalypse. I got the friend to send me a couple of pics as these are not things you see everyday! Thought I'd share them with you.

Cans-meat

Look at the size of that can! John said they weighed a ton. Six to a box. And they had a whole shed full. Perma-Pak, baby!

And while I huddled in my chair, hoping to sleep away or immobilize my cold, a beautiful and unexpected picture moment appeared! Matt, Drew, and their puppy child, Serenity. Adorable!!!! (Just don't tell them! I'll be killed! :P)
