That's kind of funny, really.

Oh yeah, fan service, we had a discussion after the film on how they seem to have sneaked in Hawkeye into the film to tie it to the Avengers even more. lol. I;m sure there were plenty of bits we missed.Gloria Oliverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07170079541864985683noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12694015.post-87363412323010430042011-05-08T22:40:08.401-05:002011-05-08T22:40:08.401-05:00Although it is set in new mexico, the town looks l...Although it is set in new mexico, the town looks like is loosely modeled on Broxton Oklahoma as it appears in the current continuity of Thor, (the current run of Thor has Asgard rebuilt in Oklahoma just outside of Broxton).

Loved the movie. The first comics that I ever read were Thor. I honestly thought I would never see it on the big screen, never mind written so well.

And I loved looking for the easter eggs planted throughout the movie.tracyhttp://tracysmorris.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12694015.post-80337830912802775362011-05-07T09:52:41.076-05:002011-05-07T09:52:41.076-05:00I do know what you mean. (First thought was the one from CARS. lol) And it did look awfully new! They do show filming in Santa Fe NM, but also California, and NY.

Heck, last week's Fast Five showed streets from Puerto Rico and said they were South America. PR's style is somewhat unique.

I think movie making peeps just throw what they want around and know the majority of viewers won't have a clue what a location really looks like. It can make for some truly bad errors. :PGloria Oliverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07170079541864985683noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12694015.post-60811585023160826262011-05-07T00:11:46.539-05:002011-05-07T00:11:46.539-05:00Hi Gloria. NM desert towns are one story stucco. That looked like a tourist town from Colorado. Also, how do I put this delicately? The extras in the movie didn't look a thing like people from small NM desert towns. I did enjoy the special effects and the story, though. Thanks for your review.Piper Bayardhttp://piperbayard.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
